Going to Brussels and experience the EU bubble have been one of my ambitions for quite sometimes. After my graduation in 2020, I have been applying 2 times for Bluebook Traineeship and 2 times for Schuman Traineeship.
I was pre-selected for this Winter 2021 Bluebook Traineeship, however I was late in my lobbying, knowing that I couldn't spare any minute from my full time internship to email head of DGs/units. But it didn't stop me from aiming to move to Brussels this Winter. That was the reason why I took the offer given by European Leadership Programme based in Brussels. Although given the not-quite-successful Bluebook application, the opportunity to still doing my internship at the UN agency (which I really like doing) and at the same time doing the fellowship and following the program has been probably the best decision.
European Leadership Programme is a Brussels-based project where you will develop leadership skills through theoretical and practical methodologies by living together with your fellows for five months. The Programme is divided in five core segments. Each of these holistic segments contribute to the formation of young leaders in the European Union offering them a strong spiritual base to become better leaders. Our Programme runs in parallel with your job or internship.
At the time I am writing this blog, I have participated all the weekly workshops, attended 2 spiritual coaching sessions and 1 1/2 months of living with my 11 housemates in the heart of Brussels. I am still looking forward to attend the rest of the workshops, conducting my research for this fellowship, participating more spiritual coaching sessions and last but not least the opportunity of individual mentorship, which I am going to be mentored by Damien Boselager (the Co-founder of Volt Party at the European Parliament).
